unable to connect to ps7_cortexa9

Hi
I've been following the hello_world tutorial and have everything going perfectly until it's time to run it on the board. I've tried different times, making sure to follow the steps exactly and I still get error messages. I'm running into this one now, and I can't find any documentation on it.

"Unable to connect to ps7_cortexa9"

system does not contain any processor

I'm running a Windows 7 64-bit OS, using xilinx 14.2 version

It gives 3 troubleshooting hints:
1. Check whether board is connected to the system properly.
2. In case of zynq board, check whether Digilent/Xilinx cable switch settings are correct
3. If you are using Xilinx Platform cable USB, ensure that status LED is green.

I have checked all the connection, made sure the board is turned ON and also installed the cypress USB-UART drivers. but not sure why I am still getting this error.

Please help!

Thanks
Deepthi

There are two microUSB connections

If you are using a ZedBoard there are two micro USB connections, J14 for the USB to UART connections, and J17 for the connections to the built in JTAG cable logic. Do you have both connections made?

Yes I have made both the connections..
I am getting stuck when i right click at hello_world and select "run configuration" i get the mentioned error. but a blue led light glows in zed board.

Set JP7-11 for JTAG mode

The blue LED indicates that the Zynq bitstream has been loaded successfully. If you did this from the SDK wit the 'Load FPGA' utility then you are connected to the device via JTAG. Otherwise it indicates that the ZedBoard is configured to boot from either the QSPI Flash or the SD Card. Change the J7-J11 Jumper setting to configure the board for JTAG configuration (all jumpers '0') as shown in the ZedBoard HW Users Guide found here:

Have you also set the MODE

Have you also set the MODE jumpers correctly and plugged in both cables microUSB cables? Which tool version are you using?

the issue is fixed

hi,
I have the same issue.
I find that the block design must be open, and the implemented design, if exists, must be open, otherwise sdk will report the error.
So please open the block design of hello world in vivado before export to hardware.
